We are looking for a skilled and motivated Unreal Engine Developer with 2-3 years of professional experience to join our core engineering team. In this role, you will be primarily responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing core game systems and features using C++. You will work closely with other programmers, designers, and artists to build a solid technical foundation for our project.

This is not a Blueprint-only role; we are seeking a developer who thrives in C++ and enjoys working on complex, performance-critical systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and maintain robust and scalable game systems in C++ (e.g., gameplay frameworks, AI, physics, networking, tools).
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
  • Profile and optimize systems for performance and memory usage across multiple platforms.
  • Collaborate with other teams to define technical requirements and turn design concepts into functional, efficient systems.
  • Contribute to core engine modifications and extensions when necessary.
  • Debug and fix complex issues across a variety of systems.
  • Participate in code reviews to maintain a high standard of code quality.

Requirements:

  • 2-3 years of professional experience developing with Unreal Engine 4 or 5 in a C++ capacity.
  • Strong proficiency in C++, with a solid understanding of object-oriented programming, memory management, and performance optimization.
  • Demonstrable experience building core game systems (e.g., player controls, AI, UI, inventory, etc.) directly in C++, not solely through Blueprints.
  • A solid understanding of Unreal Engine's core framework, including the Gameplay Framework (Actor, Pawn, Character, PlayerController, GameMode).
  • Experience with Unreal's reflection system (UPROPERTY, UFUNCTION) and the Unreal Module system.
  • Familiarity with profiling tools (Unreal Insights, CPU/GPU Profilers) to diagnose and fix performance bottlenecks.
  • A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
