About the Program

Read & Rise uses storytelling strategies in English (and local languages) to build children's literacy, numeracy, values, and citizenship skills.
Following the success of our pilot study for the Read & Rise program,
we are extending Read & Rise's impact assessment and inviting a researcher to join our team

Role & Responsibilities

The Impact Assessment Researcher will:

  • Conduct mixed-method research (qualitative + quantitative) to evaluate literacy, numeracy, character-building, and citizenship outcomes in Grades 1–5.
  • Carry out baseline, midline, and endline assessments using diagnostic tools, structured interviews, focus groups, and classroom observations.
  • Work closely with storytellers, teachers, and school leadership to document implementation fidelity and context-based adaptations.
  • Analyze data and produce actionable insights to inform program improvement and policy advocacy.
  • Ensure ethical, participatory research approaches that engage the community.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Education, Social Sciences, Development Studies, or related field.
  • Experience in educational research, monitoring & evaluation, or impact assessment.
  • Strong skills in both qualitative and quantitative research methods.
  • Comfort with school-based fieldwork and working in marginalised communities.
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Urdu; additional local languages a plus.
