About the Role

We're looking for a QA Engineer who can take ownership of both manual testing and the progressive development of end-to-end (E2E) automated tests for our platform. This role will involve hands-on testing of features before and after deployment, writing detailed test cases, and developing automated test scripts over time to ensure consistent test coverage as the product evolves.

Responsibilities

• Perform manual QA for new feature releases and regression testing.
• Write, maintain, and execute detailed test cases based on feature requirements and UX flows.
• Work closely with product and engineering teams to understand business logic and edge cases.
• Build and maintain E2E automated tests using tools like Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, etc.
• Contribute to establishing test processes, environments, and CI/CD pipeline integration.
• Log clear and concise bug reports and follow through with verification after fixes.
• Own product quality and proactively suggest improvements.
• Develop, execute, and maintain automated and manual tests, including unit, API, end-to-end, and load testing, using tools like Jest, Cypress, Supertest, Postman, and Apache JMeter.
• Design and implement comprehensive test plans and strategies, defining objectives, scope, and success criteria for software quality.
• Utilize AI tools to enhance testing processes, improve test case quality, automate repetitive tasks, optimize workflows, and streamline defect tracking and resolution.
• Enforce code quality standards using tools like ESLint and Prettier, ensuring consistency and adherence to best practices.
• Identify, document, and track defects through to resolution, maintaining clear records of test cases, results, and defect tracking.
• Analyze and optimize QA processes, implementing best practices and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance testing efficiency.
• Collaborate on CI/CD pipelines, integrating continuous testing practices to ensure high-quality software releases.
• Provide clear and concise test results, status reports, and quality metrics to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment on quality objectives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, product managers and designers, to deliver robust technology solutions.
• Participate in agile development processes, contributing to project objectives, sprint planning, and deliverable timelines.
• Stay updated with emerging trends and best practices in testing and QA to drive innovation and productivity.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in manual QA and automation testing.
• Strong understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Experience with one or more E2E testing frameworks (Cypress, Playwright, Selenium, etc.).
• Ability to write clear test plans, test cases, and documentation.
• Good communication skills and attention to detail.
• Experience with Git, CI/CD tools, and browser dev tools.
• Knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Experience in testing APIs (Postman, Swagger, etc.).

Preferred Skills

• Experience in using AI based QA tools e.g. Browserstack or similar
