Position Summary

This is a full-time role for a Mechanical Design Engineer based in Lahore. The Mechanical Design Engineer will be responsible for designing mechanical equipment and systems, developing designs, performing computer-aided simulations and calculations. Responsibilities also include preparing design documentation, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring compliance with project specifications and standards.

Key Responsibilities

· Perform design calculations including FEA/stress analysis, load estimation, and material selection.

· Create General Arrangement and fabrication drawings with detailed Bill of Materials (BOM).

· Knowledge of 2D drawings of mechanical systems, assemblies, and components using

CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Inventor, or similar) and know-how of 3D model review.

· Prepare design reports, technical specifications, and design manuals.

· Review vendor documents, perform bids evaluation and ensure compliance with project standards.

· Support project execution teams by providing technical support and updated drawings when required.

· Coordinate with Client, project, production, and procurement teams to ensure

design and cost efficiency.

· Work closely with QA/QC to ensure all designs meet quality and safety standards.

· Participate in client meetings and design review sessions.

· Contribute to product and process optimization for performance improvement.

· Stay up to date with new design tools, materials, and technologies relevant to mechanical engineering.

Qualifications

· Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSc /MS).

· Experience: 2–5 years of experience in mechanical design (in EPC / Industrial / Oil & Gas sectors).

Technical Skills:

· Prepare engineering documents (e.g., design basis, data sheets, specifications,

material requisitions, technical clarifications, technical bids evaluation etc.).

· Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Inventor, or similar).

· Knowledge of ASME, API, ISO, and relevant design standards.

· Understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerances).

· Familiarity with material properties, manufacturing methods, and fabrication processes.

Soft Skills:
