Rider / Delivery Associate (Online Pharmacy)

Smart Medics is looking for a Rider / Delivery Associate to ensure the safe, accurate, and timely delivery of medicines and healthcare products to customers. The rider will be responsible for handling prescriptions, maintaining cold chain integrity, managing cash on delivery (COD) transactions, and providing excellent customer service while representing the brand.

Key Responsibilities

  • Delivery Operations
  • Collect and deliver medicines, healthcare products, and prescriptions to customers on time.
  • Handle cold chain medicines (e.g., insulin, vaccines, biologics) carefully, ensuring they remain within required temperature ranges during transport.
  • Verify customer details before handing over medicines to ensure correct order delivery.
  • Obtain signatures, proof of delivery, or digital confirmation as required.

Customer Service

  • Interact with customers politely and professionally, representing Smart Medics' values.
  • Provide basic guidance on package handling (e.g., keeping cold chain medicines refrigerated).
  • Report any customer concerns or delivery issues promptly to the pharmacy team.

Compliance & Safety

  • Follow SOPs for medicine handling and delivery protocols.
  • Ensure confidentiality of prescriptions and patient data.
  • Follow traffic rules and practice safe driving to protect self and others.
  • Maintain delivery bags/boxes, especially insulated bags for cold chain deliveries.

Cash & Reporting

  • Collect cash on delivery (COD) payments where applicable and reconcile daily collections.
  • Maintain accurate delivery logs and hand over receipts to the accounts/operations team.
  • Report delays, traffic issues, or delivery failures in real time.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Education: Minimum Matriculation (Higher education preferred).
  • License: Valid motorcycle driving license (must own or have access to a motorcycle).
  • Experience: Prior delivery experience in courier, e-commerce, or pharmacy preferred.

Skills:

  • Good knowledge of city routes (Karachi or assigned city).
  • Ability to handle cold chain products responsibly.
  • Strong time management and communication skills.
  • Trustworthy and responsible in handling cash and confidential medical items.

Work Conditions

Location: Karachi (or assigned delivery region).

Timings: Shift-based work depending on order volume .

Compensation: Fixed salary + fuel allowance

Other Benefits: Overtime pay, and opportunities for growth within Smart Medics logistics.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Rs40, Rs60,000.00 per month
