Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for an Account Officer located in Lahore. The Account Officer will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial statements, managing day-to-day financial activities, and providing support with budgeting and reporting. The role also involves liaising with customers or stakeholders to address any financial inquiries and ensuring compliance with financial regulations and organizational policies.

accounting and finance operations

Key Responsibilities

Accounting Responsibilities

  • Assist in maintaining the books of accounts and ensuring accurate posting of transactions.
  • Prepare and reconcile ledgers, bank statements, and vendor accounts.
  • Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities.
  • Process invoices, receipts, payments, and petty cash transactions.
  • Support in the preparation of financial statements and management reports.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.

Finance Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing cash flow statements, fund flow, and budgeting activities.
  • Support in financial analysis, cost monitoring, and variance analysis.
  • Coordinate with banks for routine matters, statements, and financial documentation.
  • Assist in tax work, withholding tax calculations, and filing documentation.
  • Provide support in audit procedures (internal & external).

Other Responsibilities

  • Maintain documentation and ensure proper record-keeping.
  • Collaborate with internal departments for data collection and verification.
  • Perform any other tasks assigned by senior finance or accounts management.

Required Qualifications

  • CA Finalist / ACCA / MBA (Finance) / M.Com
    or equivalent.
  • 1–2 years of experience in
    accounting and finance
    (fresh candidates are also encouraged to apply).
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial concepts.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word) and accounting software (ERP experience preferred).
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and adaptability skills.
