Senior Software Engineer, Distributed Systems (AI/ML Audio)

The Role

We are seeking an innovative and experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our team. You'll be at the forefront of designing and building the next generation of our audio intelligence platform. This role is perfect for a hands-on engineer who is passionate about architecting robust, scalable distributed systems that power real-time audio processing and generative AI applications. You will tackle complex challenges at the intersection of machine learning, large language models (LLMs), and high-throughput data pipelines.

What You'll Do

● Architect & Build: Design, develop, and deploy highly scalable, low-latency distributed systems for real-time audio stream processing and analysis.

● Integrate AI Models: Implement and productionize machine learning models, specializing in Large Language Models (LLMs) and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) systems for audio-based applications.

● Develop Core Services: Write clean, high-quality, and maintainable code in Python to build microservices and data processing pipelines that handle massive volumes of concurrent audio data.

● Optimize Performance: Identify and eliminate performance bottlenecks in our systems to ensure reliability and speed for our AI-driven features.

● Prompt Engineering & Tuning: Collaborate with the team to develop, test, and refine sophisticated prompt engineering strategies to maximize the performance and accuracy of our LLMs.

● Lead & Mentor: Lead technical design discussions, mentor junior engineers, and champion best practices in software development, system architecture, and MLOps.

Qualifications Basic Qualifications:

● Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

● 5+ years of professional software development experience.

● 3+ years of experience designing, building, and maintaining complex distributed systems.

● Strong proficiency in Python and its ecosystem for backend development.

Preferred Qualifications:

● Proven experience with real-time audio stream processing technologies (e.g., WebRTC, gRPC, Websockets, Kafka, or similar).

● Hands-on experience with Large Language Models (LLMs) and implementing Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines.

● Practical knowledge of prompt engineering techniques and evaluating LLM outputs.

● Solid understanding of the fundamentals of machine learning, including model deployment and lifecycle management (MLOps).

● Experience with cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, or Azure) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).

● A track record of leading complex technical projects from conception to launch.
