The Senior Developer is responsible for developing Python microservices and APIs for application modernization while also supporting the extraction of business logic from the legacy C#.NET application. This hybrid role requires both Python proficiency and .NET expertise, ensuring accurate translation of critical functions into the new system.

Key Responsibilities

· Review and analyze existing C#.NET BET code to identify business rules, workflows, and decision logic.

· Collaborate with the Solution Architect and BA to document extracted logic into decision tables and functional documentation.

· Refactor and re-implement legacy .NET logic into Python-based microservices.

· Build APIs for PNR updates, SSR routing, passive segment handling, and NegoSpace integration.

· Implement robust error handling, idempotency, and canonical messaging patterns.

· Write and maintain unit, integration, and regression test cases.

· Mentor mid-level developers and support defect resolution during QA and UAT.

· Collaborate with DevOps on pipeline integration and deployments.

Required Skills & Qualifications

· 7–10 years in software development, with hands-on expertise in both C#.NET and Python.

· Strong experience in application modernization and re-platforming projects.

· Proficiency with Django DRF, SQLAlchemy ORM, Pydantic, REST APIs.

· Familiarity with enterprise messaging (Kafka, RabbitMQ) and API-first design.

· Solid experience with Git workflows, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing.

· Airline/transactional systems experience preferred.

· Ability to work with business analysts and architects to validate functional accuracy.
