Senior Tax Accountant

Job Title: Senior Accountant Location: On-Site, Lahore (Working Hours: 6 PM to 3 AM) Type: Full-Time

About Us

RepHero Global is looking for a talented Senior Accountant with proven experience in US and Canadian tax. In this role, you will own the accounting function end-to-end — from fast, accurate closes and clean consolidations to proactive tax planning across both countries.

Key Responsibilities

• Month-End Close: Lead the month-end close process, delivering a complete and accurate financial package within 5 business days.
• Multi-Entity Accounting: Manage general ledgers, intercompany eliminations, and consolidations.
• Tax Compliance:
• Canada: T2, T4A, GST/HST, payroll remittances.
• US: Federal and state corporate returns, 1099/1042-S, sales/use tax, payroll taxes.
• Financial Reporting: Maintain working papers, schedules, and audit-ready files.
• Controls & Policies: Implement internal controls, accounting policies, and a tax calendar.
• Financial Planning: Partner with leadership on cash forecasting, scenario modeling, and unit economics.
• Operational Oversight: Oversee AP, AR, and payroll workflows to improve cycle time and accuracy.
• Revenue Recognition: Establish policies under ASC 606 or IFRS 15.
• Special Projects: Support capital raises, due diligence, and strategic initiatives.
• Industry-Specific Accounting:
• Real Estate: Property-level accounting, rent rolls, CAM reconciliations.
• Venture Holdings: Track investments, SAFEs, equity method accounting, and cap tables.

Qualifications

• CA, ACCA, or CPA designation.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 2+ years in a senior role.
• Canadian or US tax experience (cross-border exposure preferred).
• Strong technical accounting knowledge (IFRS or US GAAP, consolidations, deferred taxes).
• Proven track record in tightening month-end processes and implementing robust controls.
• Advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills (pivot tables, complex formulas).
• Systems expertise with tools like QuickBooks Online or NetSuite, plus , Ramp, Stripe, Gusto/ADP, Carta.
• Excellent communication skills — able to explain complex accounting to non-finance teams.
• High ownership, sound judgment, and a collaborative mindset.

Nice to Have

• Experience in SaaS, financial services, or real estate.
• Startup or multi-entity environment experience.
• Familiarity with SOC 2 compliance, procurement controls, and spend management.
• Basic SQL or Python for reporting/reconciliations.
• Multi-currency accounting experience.
