Role Purpose
Japan Electronics is seeking a Project Designer for its Administration Department. The role will be responsible for planning, designing, and coordinating administrative projects such as office layouts, facility improvements, branding installations, renovation works, and other admin-related initiatives. The position ensures that all projects are executed within budget, aligned with company standards, and contribute to overall administrative efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Project Design & Planning
- Develop design concepts, layouts, and plans for office spaces, showrooms, and admin facilities.
- Prepare and present project proposals, drawings, and BOQs for approval.
- Ensure compliance with company branding, safety, and administrative guidelines.
Coordination & Execution
- Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and procurement teams for material selection and project execution.
- Monitor project progress, timelines, and quality standards.
- Assist in renovation, furniture design, signage, and facility management projects.
Documentation & Reporting
- Prepare detailed project documentation (drawings, timelines, budgets).
- Maintain updated records of all admin-related projects.
- Provide weekly/monthly progress reports to the Head of Admin.
Collaboration
- Work closely with HR, Procurement, IT, and Facility teams for integrated project execution.
- Support Admin team in optimizing workspace utilization and work environment.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of AutoCAD, SketchUp, MS Office, PowerPoint.
- Good sense of design, space planning, and aesthetics.
- Excellent project management & coordination skills.
- Knowledge of materials, furniture, signage, and corporate branding standards.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Project Management, or related field.
- 2–4 years of experience in project designing/office design/admin facilities projects.
- Experience in corporate or retail sector preferred.
