Key Responsibilities

1. Curriculum Development & Instruction:

  • Design and deliver a complete Grade 1 curriculum covering core subjects: Literacy (Phonics, Reading, Writing), Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies.
  • Create engaging, hands-on, and differentiated lesson plans that cater to our child's unique learning style and interests.
  • Integrate play-based learning, educational games, and exploratory activities to make learning dynamic and effective.

2. Learning Environment & Management:

  • Establish and maintain a dedicated, organized, and print-rich learning space within the home.
  • Foster a positive, patient, and encouraging atmosphere that builds confidence and resilience.
  • Implement simple, consistent routines and positive behavior guidance strategies.

3. Assessment & Reporting:

  • Continuously monitor and assess academic progress and developmental milestones through observation, portfolios, and informal assessments.
  • Maintain detailed records of lessons, activities, and the child's progress.
  • Provide regular informal updates to parents and participate in scheduled progress review meetings.

4. Enrichment & Holistic Development:

  • Plan and lead activities in Art, Music, and Physical Education.
  • Facilitate social interaction through playdates, group classes, or extracurricular activities with peers.
  • Teach and model essential life skills, such as organization, problem-solving, and empathy.

5. Communication & Partnership:

  • Maintain open, honest, and proactive communication with parents.
  • Collaborate with parents to align educational goals and parenting philosophies.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Essential:
  • Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education, Early Childhood Education, or a related field.
  • Proven experience teaching or tutoring at the Kindergarten or Grade 1 level (in a school or home-setting).
  • Strong knowledge of phonics-based reading instruction, early math concepts, and inquiry-based science.
  • Patience, creativity, energy, and a genuine love for working with young children.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Rs35, Rs65,000.00 per month
