Job Summary:

As a Data Entry Operator at our FMCG warehouse, you will be responsible for inputting, organizing, and maintaining data related to inventory, shipments, and other warehouse activities. Your role is critical in ensuring data accuracy and integrity, which directly impacts our operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Entry: Accurately input data into computer systems from various sources, including invoices, purchase orders, and packing lists.
  • Inventory Management: Update and maintain inventory records, including stock levels, product codes, and shelf locations.
  • Order Processing: Process incoming and outgoing orders by recording order details, quantities, and shipment information.
  • Quality Control: Verify the accuracy of data entries to ensure that inventory and shipment information is correct.
  • Documentation: Maintain and organize warehouse documents, including bills of lading, shipping manifests, and supplier invoices.
  • Reporting: Generate reports on inventory levels, order status, and other warehouse metrics as required by management.
  • Data Analysis: Assist in analyzing warehouse data to identify trends, discrepancies, and areas for improvement.
  • Communication: Collaborate with warehouse staff, supervisors, and other team members to resolve data-related issues and discrepancies.
  • Equipment Use: Operate computer systems, data entry devices, and software efficiently and accurately.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelors in Computer Science/ Statistics/ Maths; additional education or certification in data entry or related field is a plus.
  • Proven experience as a data entry operator or similar role, preferably in a warehouse or logistics environment.
  • Proficiency in data entry software, databases, and MS Office applications (especially Excel).
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Knowledge of inventory management systems (optional but beneficial).
  • Familiarity with FMCG products and warehouse operations (optional but beneficial).

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit for extended periods and perform repetitive data entry tasks.
  • Occasional lifting and moving of boxes or materials may be required.
