Ali's Academy, a rapidly expanding supplementary education provider serving families across West London, is urgently looking for a skilled Accounts Manager to take charge of our finance department. This is a fully remote, senior-level role ideally suited for someone dependable, detail-focused, and confident in independently managing financial operations.

About the Position

We are seeking a highly organised professional who can oversee the full spectrum of our accounts activities from home. You will manage daily financial workflows, supervise the accounts and payments team, and ensure consistent accuracy across payroll, invoicing, childcare claims, and financial reconciliation.

The Accounts Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams and provide essential financial oversight to senior leadership.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Lead, organise, and manage all accounting functions, including payroll, invoicing, and fee tracking
  • Oversee monthly payroll for tutors and staff with precision
  • Manage parent fee collections and handle childcare funding reconciliations
  • Process refunds, prepare invoices, and provide timely financial updates
  • Resolve payment, accounts, and fee-related queries for parents and internal departments
  • Maintain accurate ledgers, budgets, and financial records
  • Generate financial summaries and reports for senior management
  • Work closely with HR, Admin, and Admissions to ensure smooth operational alignment
  • Ensure adherence to accounting policies and internal financial controls
  • Recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy

Candidate Requirements

  • 2–3+ years of experience in accounts, finance, or a similar role
  • Strong expertise in Google Sheets, Excel, and basic accounting systems
  • Clear communication skills and confidence leading a team
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to manage deadlines and multitask independently
  • Familiarity with UK accounting, invoicing, bookkeeping, payroll, or childcare funding (preferred)
  • Must have a reliable internet connection and a professional home office setup
  • Proactive, responsible, and able to work autonomously

Working Hours

  • Monday to Saturday
  • Flexible full-time schedule
  • Completely remote (work-from-home)

Compensation

  • PKR 100,000 per month (experience-based)
  • Performance bonuses and career progression opportunities available
