Position Overview:

We are hiring an Accountant to manage invoicing, payroll processing, accounts receivable/payable, and support core financial operations. This is a full-time remote position with working hours aligned to Eastern Time (Canada). While fresh graduates are welcome to apply, preference will be given to candidates with relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Generate, send, and manage client invoices using QuickBooks (Online and Desktop)
  • Process employee payroll accurately and on schedule
  • Maintain payroll records and employee timesheets
  • Handle accounts receivable (AR) and accounts payable (AP) functions
  • Assist with monthly account reconciliations and financial reports
  • Support payroll tax filings and ensure compliance with applicable laws
  • Collaborate with team members to streamline accounting workflows
  • Perform other accounting-related duties as assigned by management

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field (minimum 16 years of education)
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks (Online or Desktop)
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
  • Reliable internet connection, laptop, and external monitor

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in billing, payroll, AR/AP, or bookkeeping
  • Understanding of Canadian/US payroll laws and reporting standards
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Experience working in a remote team environment is an asset
