Welding Inspector

About the Role:

Meraj Limited is seeking a Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) to ensure that all welding and fabrication activities meet company standards, client specifications, and international codes. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to ensure compliance and quality assurance in all welding operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Inspect and monitor welding operations to ensure compliance with standards and specifications.
• Review Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS), Procedure Qualification Records (PQR), and Welder Qualification Test Records (WQTR).
• Verify materials, joint preparations, and welding consumables before and during fabrication.
• Conduct visual inspections, NDT coordination, and maintain inspection documentation.
• Ensure all welding and fabrication work adheres to safety and quality requirements.
• Liaise with QA/QC engineers, production teams, and clients for project updates and inspections.

Requirements:

• Certification: AWS-CWI, CSWIP 3.1/3.2, or equivalent.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in fabrication, welding inspection, or related field.
• Strong knowledge of welding processes (SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, FCAW).
• Familiar with ASME, API, and ISO standards.
• Excellent communication and reporting skills.
