Database Engineer (PostgreSQL + Prisma) – Night Shift | Lahore

Location: On-site – Lahore, Pakistan

Shift Timing: 7:00 PM – 4:00 AM (Monday–Friday)

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: Competitive (based on experience and performance)

About the Role

We are hiring a talented Database Engineer with hands-on experience in PostgreSQL and Prisma ORM to join our fast-growing software team.

You will design, optimize, and maintain scalable databases that support high-performance web applications used by international clients.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex data problems, writing efficient queries, and working closely with developers to build reliable systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain PostgreSQL databases in production environments
  • Create and manage data models using Prisma ORM
  • Write optimized SQL queries, handle data migrations, and ensure data integrity
  • Collaborate with backend engineers for seamless and Prisma integration
  • Monitor database performance and perform regular tuning
  • Implement robust security, backup, and recovery procedures

Requirements

  • Strong experience with PostgreSQL (schemas, indexing, optimization, queries)
  • Proficiency in Prisma ORM and integration
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs or GraphQL
  • Understanding of database version control and migration tools
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (preferred)

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with TypeScript, AWS RDS, or Docker
  • Understanding of database scaling and performance optimization
  • Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps environments
