Manager Finance

Role Overview:

The Manager Finance will play a pivotal role in managing day-to-day financial operations, regulatory compliance, tax matters, and financial reporting of Next Capital Limited and its subsidiary, Finqalab. This position requires close collaboration with the CFO to ensure timely financial closures, compliance with regulatory authorities, and the continuous improvement of financial systems and controls.

Key Responsibilities

Daily Operations

• Manage daily payments and receipts, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

• Perform bank reconciliations and maintain effective oversight of cash flows.

• Maintain oversight of client debit and credit reports on a day-to-day basis.

Regulatory & Tax Compliance

• Ensure timely and compliant submission of Sindh Sales Tax (SST) payments and documentation to the Sindh Revenue Board (SRB).

• Complete reconciliations in line with Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) and SRB compliance deadlines.

• Manage authorization and filing of income tax for services and supplies.

• Prepare and submit trial balances and financial reports in compliance with SECP requirements, including the Brokers Liquidity & Assets Segregation Review System (BLASRS).

• Ensure consistent delivery of bi-monthly and monthly client segregation reports.

• Maintain monthly liquid capital and net capital reports.

Financial Reporting & Audit

• Collaborate with the Head of Finance / CFO to finalize interim and annual financial accounts.

• Manage interim and annual financial audits, including coordination with external auditors.

• Prepare aging reports of client debits and credits for liquid capital reporting.

Banking & Treasury

• Maintain strong working relationships with banks to ensure timely renewal of finance facilities.

• Monitor treasury operations, ensuring liquidity for operational and regulatory needs.

Payroll & Employee Finance

• Manage preparation and processing of monthly payroll, ensuring accurate salary calculations and withholding tax deductions.

• Maintain payroll software (Flow HCM platform) in terms of precise data entry and reporting.

Systems & Process Improvement

• Contribute to the improvement of the systems and processes involving Next Capital and its subsidiary Finqalab

• Implement efficient systems and internal controls to ensure precise tracking of financial accounts

Other

• Perform any other duties, responsibilities, or tasks that may not be explicitly listed above but are reasonably expected of the role.

• Undertake additional assignments as directed by senior management, in line with the overall objectives of the Finance function and the organization.

• Support cross-functional initiatives and projects where financial expertise or input is required.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related discipline (ACCA, CA, CMA preferred).

• 3- 6 years of relevant finance and accounting experience, ideally in a brokerage house (directly or through audit exposure); experience in financial services or capital markets may also be considered.

• Strong knowledge of taxation, SRB/FBR compliance, and SECP reporting requirements.

• Proven experience managing audits and preparing financial statements.

• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

• Exposure to IT/fintech-related financial applications will be an advantage.
