Responsibilities:

Candidate must have at least 5 years' experience in SATCOM and must be able to

  • iDirect Hub installation
    Install configure and integrate ST Engineering iDirect VSAT platform especially infinity and Evolution series.
  • VSAT Background
    install and configure VSAT SCPC link and have a SATCOM experience , must be familiar with fixed COTP/COTM antennas and RF components including but not limited to BUC/LNBs and transceivers
  • Network design and implementation:
     Deploy new network solutions, such as Local Area Networks (LAN), Wide Area Networks (WAN), Virtual Private Networks (VPNs), and wireless networks. They select and configure the necessary hardware and software to meet business requirements.
  • Configuration and maintenance:
     Install, configure, and support network hardware and software, including routers, switches and firewalls.
  • Troubleshooting and support:
     Investigate, diagnose, and resolve network issues and outages. This includes providing technical support to end-users and other IT personnel to address network-related problems.

Requirements:

  • BE in Electrical/Electronics/CS/Telecommunication or a related field
  • Proven, hands-on experience at least 5 years in SATCOM and Must have hands on experience of iDirect Hub installation and experience of configuring routers, switches, and firewalls.
  • Strong understanding of networking fundamentals (routing, switching, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
  • Knowledge of networking protocols such as BGP, OSPF, MPLS, and TCP/IP.
  • Experience with firewall configuration and network security principles.
  • Familiarity with network monitoring tools (e.g., Wireshark, SolarWinds).
  • Basic Knowledge and hands on experience on LINUX/UNIX operating system
  • SATCOM RF hands on experience including fixed and COTP/COTM antenna installation and troubleshooting

Professional certifications:

  • VSAT installation certifications, GVF certified will be preferred (GVF 510 and GVF 503i)
  • CCNA/ CCNP Certifications, candidate with local training but with proven knowledge and experience can be considered
  • iDirect Quality of Service Boot Camp – iDX 4.X
  • iDirect Operation and Maintenance – iDX 4.X
  • Advanced iOM – iDX 4.X
