HVAC Technician

Job Summary:

The HVAC Technician is responsible for the installation, inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems to ensure optimal performance, safety, and energy efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, and repair HVAC systems including split ACs, VRF/VRV systems, chillers, AHUs, FCUs, and ventilation units.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance as per scheduled plans.
• Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults and carry out timely repairs.
• Check refrigerant levels, pressure, compressors, motors, belts, filters, thermostats, and controls.
• Ensure proper functioning of ducts, insulation, airflow, and ventilation systems.
• Maintain logs, service reports, and maintenance records.
• Follow safety standards, company SOPs, and statutory regulations.
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors when required.
• Respond to emergency breakdowns and after-hours maintenance calls.
• Ensure tools, equipment, and spare parts are properly handled and maintained.

Qualifications & Experience:

• DAE / Diploma in Mechanical, HVAC, or Refrigeration (preferred).
• Minimum 2 years of relevant HVAC maintenance experience.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, refrigeration cycles, and electrical controls.
• Ability to read technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and manuals.
• Experience in commercial buildings, hospitals, malls, or residential projects is an advantage.
