About the Role

GEO PTE Academy is looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Senior WordPress Developer to lead website development projects, manage custom functionalities, and optimize user experience. The ideal candidate should have strong coding skills, in-depth WordPress knowledge, and a creative approach to technical problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain WordPress websites, including custom themes and plugins
  • Customize existing themes and plugins according to requirements
  • Optimize websites for speed, performance, and SEO
  • Troubleshoot and fix technical issues, bugs, or compatibility errors
  • Manage website migration, backups, and security
  • Collaborate with the design and marketing teams to create seamless user experiences
  • Implement responsive and mobile-friendly web designs
  • Stay updated with the latest WordPress updates, tools, and best practices

Requirements

  • Minimum 1–2 years of professional experience in WordPress development
  • Strong knowledge of PHP, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, MySQL
  • Hands-on experience with Elementor, WPBakery, ACF, WooCommerce, and REST APIs
  • Experience developing custom themes and plugins
  • Familiarity with SEO principles, caching, and performance tools
  • Understanding of security best practices and version control (Git)
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
