Android Developer

Job Summary:

The Android Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining applications for devices powered by the Android operating system. This role requires expertise in Android SDK, proficiency in Java/Kotlin, and a strong understanding of mobile application development principles. The Android Developer will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality mobile applications that provide an exceptional user experience.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Application Development:

2. Design and develop advanced applications for the Android platform using Java/Kotlin.

3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.

4. Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications by conducting unit tests and debugging.

5. User Interface (UI) Design:

6. Implement intuitive and user-friendly interfaces that provide a seamless user experience.

7. Collaborate with designers to implement and refine UI/UX designs.

8. Ensure applications adhere to Google's design guidelines and best practices.

9. API Integration:

10. Integrate applications with backend services using RESTful APIs and other web services.

11. Ensure secure data transmission between the application and backend systems.

12. Optimize network usage and handle data caching effectively.

13. Code Maintenance and Documentation:

14. Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code that follows best practices and coding standards.

15. Refactor existing code to improve performance, readability, and maintainability.

16. Maintain detailed documentation for application architecture, code, and APIs.

17. Testing and Debugging:

18. Conduct thorough testing of applications, including unit testing, integration testing, and end-to-end testing.

19. Debug and resolve issues, including crashes, bugs, and performance bottlenecks.

20. Use tools like Android Studio and Firebase for monitoring and debugging.

21. Version Control and Collaboration:

22. Use version control systems like Git to manage code repositories and collaborate with other developers.

23. Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and consistency across the team.

24. Collaborate with backend developers, designers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality software.

25. Continuous Improvement:

26. Stay updated with the latest Android development trends, tools, and technologies.

27. Continuously research and implement new technologies and features that improve the user experience.

28. Propose and implement improvements to existing applications and development processes.

29. App Deployment and Maintenance:

30. Prepare applications for deployment to the Google Play Store, including optimizing performance and ensuring compatibility with various devices.

31. Monitor and maintain applications post-launch, including releasing updates, fixing bugs, and adding new features.

32. Gather user feedback and make data-driven decisions to improve application functionality and usability.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

• Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in Android development.

• Proficiency in Java and Kotlin programming languages.

• Strong understanding of Android SDK, Android Studio, and other development tools.

• Experience with RESTful APIs, third-party libraries, and integrating web services.

• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and agile development methodologies.

• Knowledge of mobile UI/UX principles and best practices.

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Work Environment:

• Night Shift: 7PM-4AM
