Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced AI/ML Engineer specializing in Computer Vision to join us as a key member of our growing AI department. This role is for a hands-on builder who is passionate about creating real-world impact by developing the entire lifecycle of our perception systems: from researching state-of-the-art approaches to deploying highly optimized computer vision models on our fleet of vehicles. Your work will directly enable our mobile platforms to understand complex street-level scenarios in real-time using multiple video streams on advanced edge hardware like the NVIDIA Jetson.

Key Responsibilities

  • R&D and Prototyping:

Research, evaluate, and implement state-of-the-art computer vision models (e.g., YOLO family, vision transformers) for object detection, segmentation, and scene understanding.
- Video Pipeline Management:

Design and manage robust, high-throughput video processing pipelines (e.g., using GStreamer, OpenCV) to ingest and synchronize multiple video streams on our embedded Linux platform.
- Model Optimization & Deployment:

Utilize model optimization and acceleration toolkits like NVIDIA TensorRT and ONNX to convert trained models into high-performance engines capable of real-time inference on the NVIDIA Jetson.
- Systems Integration:

Deploy, monitor, and maintain AI models on edge devices, working comfortably within a Linux environment to ensure system stability and efficient resource management.
- Foundational Development:

Help establish the MLOps infrastructure and best practices for data management, model training, and continuous deployment for the AI team.
- Collaboration:

Work closely with software and hardware teams to ensure seamless integration of the end-to-end perception system.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Robotics, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of professional experience in AI/ML development, with a portfolio of projects demonstrating model development and deployment.
  • Strong proficiency in Python and a major deep learning framework (PyTorch is preferred).
  • Demonstrated experience with popular open-source vision models such as the YOLO family.
  • Proven experience deploying and optimizing machine learning models on resource-constrained edge devices.

Preferred Skills

  • Direct, hands-on experience with the NVIDIA Jetson platform and its ecosystem (JetPack, CUDA).
  • Expertise with NVIDIA TensorRT for model optimization and deployment.
  • Strong practical experience with GStreamer for building and managing complex video pipelines.
  • Proficiency in C++ for developing performance-critical modules or for deployment in production environments.
  • Comfort working in a Linux environment, including shell scripting and system resource monitoring.
  • Experience with multi-camera calibration and stitching/warping techniques.
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker) for creating reproducible development and deployment environments.
