IT Solutions Architect

We are looking for an experienced IT Solutions Architect to design and drive cloud-native solutions across our global AWS environment. You will partner with software development teams, DevOps, infrastructure, and lab engineering to architect secure, scalable, and cost-efficient platforms that support both cloud software services and semiconductor testing workflows.

A key focus of the role is to evaluate and introduce AI/ML technologies (e.g., LLMs, automation, MLOps) to improve productivity, reliability, and developer efficiency across the company.

Key Responsibilities

Architecture & Solution Design

• Design end-to-end AWS-based architectures for internal systems, cloud services, data platforms, and development workflows.
• Define architectural standards, patterns, and best practices for cloud development and IT systems.
• Collaborate with engineering colleagues to align architecture with business and technical needs.
• Drive modernization initiatives (containerization, serverless, microservices, event-driven architectures).

AI / Automation & Innovation

• Identify meaningful and safe ways to integrate AI/ML (including LLMs) into workflows and internal systems.
• Evaluate AI tools and platforms in collaboration with Engineering.
• Lead pilots and PoCs for AI-assisted development, automation, analytics, or system operations.
• Work with security and compliance teams to ensure responsible AI adoption.

Cloud Governance & IT Excellence

• Support cost optimization, FinOps, and continuous improvement in cloud operations.
• Help establish standard ways of working with DevOps teams (CI/CD, observability, resilience patterns).
• Provide architectural oversight on complex IT and business projects.

Cross-functional Collaboration

• Act as a bridge between IT, engineering, software development, and hardware/lab teams.
• Document architectures, run design reviews, and communicate complex concepts clearly.
• Mentor engineers and advocate for good engineering and architectural practices.

Key Competencies

Technical Skills

• 5+ years of experience as a Solutions Architect, Senior Cloud Engineer, or senior technical role.
• Strong expertise in AWS services across compute, networking, storage, IAM, security, and data.
• Solid experience designing and delivering distributed, cloud-native systems.
• Good programming/scripting experience (Python, TypeScript, or similar).
• Experience with containers (ECS/EKS), serverless (Lambda), and IaC (Terraform/CDK).
• Familiarity with modern AI technologies, such as:

i. LLMs / generative AI

ii. MLOps concepts

iii. RAG, embeddings, vector databases

• Understanding of networking, identity, and security best practices.

Soft Skills

• Strong communication and stakeholder management.
• Experience on Project Management, both Waterfall and Agile
• Ability to evaluate trade-offs and make sound architectural decisions.
• Comfortable working in a hybrid environment (cloud + on-prem systems + hardware labs).
• Innovative mindset balanced with pragmatic delivery.

Profile

• Bachelor's degree on IT engineering or similar.
• AWS certification(s), ideally AWS Solutions Architect – Professional.
• Experience in a product-based tech or semiconductor environment.
• Exposure to lab systems, test automation.
• Experience driving governance, IT transformation, or standardization initiatives.
• Fluent English is a must.
