Position Overview
We are seeking a Business Development Associate with strong research and investment analysis capabilities. The role focuses on identifying market opportunities, evaluating business potential, and sourcing funding channels, including investors, grants, and strategic partnerships.
This position is ideal for someone with a proactive mindset, strong analytical skills, and the ability to independently research and validate new business ventures.
Key Responsibilities
Market & Competitive Research
● Conduct market analysis to identify industry trends, gaps, and high-growth opportunities in AI, SaaS, and digital platforms.
● Perform competitive benchmarking to understand product differentiation and potential market entry points.
● Compile research insights into structured reports and opportunity summaries.
Business Opportunity & Investment Evaluation
● Assess new business and product ideas based on value proposition, market demand, and commercial viability.
● Assist in determining revenue models, pricing potential, and scalability of new ventures.
● Conduct preliminary financial projections and ROI assessments.
Funding & Grant Acquisition
● Identify suitable investment sources, including early-stage investors, accelerators, venture funds, and strategic financiers.
● Research and evaluate regional and global grant programs, innovation funds, and government funding opportunities.
● Draft and prepare grant applications, investment pitches, concept notes, and funding proposals.
● Track submission timelines, eligibility requirements, and deliverables for funding opportunities.
Business Documentation & Proposal Development
● Prepare clear opportunity briefs, investment decks, and business case documents.
● Develop insight-based narratives to articulate market justification and growth potential to stakeholders or funders.
● Maintain records of research, funding pipelines, and proposal progress.
Requirements
● Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
● 1–3 years of experience in business research, venture analysis, fundraising support, grant writing, or related roles.
● Strong analytical, research, and structured writing capabilities.
● Understanding of digital business models (SaaS, subscription platforms).
● Ability to work independently and manage multiple research tracks simultaneously.
● Detail-oriented with strong organizational and documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
● Experience preparing or supporting grant proposals, pitch decks, or investor outreach.
● Familiarity with early-stage venture funding ecosystems.
● Interest in emerging technologies and digital innovation landscapes
