To further strengthen our external relations and ensure compliance with evolving policies, we are seeking a Head of Public Relations (PR) – Government Affairs to lead our government engagement, regulatory affairs, and communication strategy.

Position Overview:

The incumbent will serve as the company's senior-most representative for government relations, public policy advocacy, and external communication. This role requires proven leadership, deep understanding of government mechanisms, and strong relationship-building skills with policymakers, regulatory bodies, and media stakeholders.

Preferred Candidate Profile:

  • Retired Colonel / Brigadier (Pak Army) with extensive exposure to government affairs, stakeholder management, and compliance.
  • Proven ability to navigate complex government frameworks and align organizational strategy with regulatory requirements.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with government ministries, regulatory authorities, and public sector organizations.
  • Represent the company in government meetings, industry forums, and policy discussions.
  • Monitor, interpret, and analyze laws, policies, and regulations impacting the retail and electronics industry.
  • Proactively engage with policymakers to advocate for company interests and provide input in shaping public policy.
  • Lead and manage public relations campaigns ensuring positive visibility and alignment with government affairs.
  • Advise management on regulatory risks, compliance requirements, and political developments.
  • Handle sensitive government-related issues with confidentiality and diplomacy.
  • Collaborate with legal, compliance, and corporate affairs teams to ensure all company operations adhere to government regulations.
  • Act as the official spokesperson of the organization in matters relating to government affairs.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Retired Colonel / Brigadier with proven expertise in government affairs, regulatory liaison, and stakeholder engagement.
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in leadership roles involving public relations, policy advocacy, or regulatory compliance.
  • Strong command of government processes, defense protocols, and corporate communication practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and crisis management skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure, manage sensitive situations, and protect organizational interests.
