Job Summary:

The Quality Assurance (QA) Specialist is responsible for monitoring, inspecting, and reporting on the quality of raw materials, in-process production, and finished furniture products. This role ensures that all items meet internal quality benchmarks and comply with customer expectations and industry standards. The ideal candidate should have a keen eye for detail, a good understanding of furniture materials and construction, and experience in implementing quality control systems.

Key Responsibilities:Quality Inspection & Testing

  • Conduct inspections of incoming raw materials (wood, fabric, hardware, etc.).
  • Monitor in-process production to ensure adherence to design specifications, measurements, and finishing quality.
  • Inspect finished goods before dispatch to ensure they meet quality and aesthetic standards.

Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain detailed inspection records, test reports, and defect logs.
  • Report quality issues, deviations, or non-conformities to relevant departments.
  • Suggest corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to reduce recurrence of defects.

Process Improvement

  • Collaborate with production and design teams to improve manufacturing processes and reduce errors.
  • Assist in setting and updating quality standards, checklists, and SOPs.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and recommend changes for continual improvement.

Customer Quality Feedback

  • Coordinate with after-sales or customer service teams to understand product complaints.
  • Investigate and analyze returned items or field failures to identify and resolve recurring quality issues.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Diploma in Quality Management, Industrial Engineering, Furniture Design, or related field.
  • 2–4 years of experience in quality assurance/control, preferably in furniture, interiors, or manufacturing industry.
  • Knowledge of furniture construction, joinery, upholstery, materials, and surface finishes.
  • Familiarity with QA tools, measurement instruments, and quality audit processes.
  • Strong analytical and observational skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and coordinate with cross-functional teams.
  • Basic understanding of ISO standards or similar quality frameworks (preferred).
