
Business, Accounting and Economics teacher

The O Level Teacher of Business, Accounting, and Finance will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons aligned with the Cambridge Assessment International Education (CAIE) syllabus. The role involves planning and executing engaging lessons, preparing students for examinations, and fostering analytical, entrepreneurial, and financial literacy skills.
Key Responsibilities
1. Teaching & Learning
- Deliver lessons for Business Studies, Accounting, and/or Principles of Accounts in accordance with the CAIE curriculum.
- Develop lesson plans, teaching materials, and classroom activities to meet learning objectives.
- Incorporate real-life business, accounting, and finance examples to enhance student understanding.
- Use a variety of instructional strategies, including technology integration, to support different learning styles.
2. Assessment & Evaluation
- Prepare, administer, and mark class tests, assignments, and term exams.
- Monitor and evaluate student progress, providing constructive feedback.
- Prepare students for CAIE O Level examinations, including Paper 1 and Paper 2 components.
3. Curriculum & Professional Development
- Participate in curriculum planning and departmental meetings.
- Stay updated with changes in the CAIE syllabus, examination trends, and teaching methodologies.
- Engage in continuous professional development and subject-specific training.
4. Student Support & Mentoring
- Provide academic guidance and support to students individually or in small groups.
- Encourage the development of critical thinking, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Maintain discipline and a positive learning environment in the classroom.
5. Record Keeping & Reporting
- Maintain accurate attendance, assessment records, and progress reports.
- Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student performance and behavior.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- B.Ed. or equivalent teaching qualification (preferred).
- Minimum 2–3 years of teaching O Level/IGCSE Business and/or Accounting (Cambridge syllabus experience preferred).
- Strong command of English (spoken & written).
- Excellent classroom management and interpersonal skills.
Skills & Competencies
- In-depth subject knowledge of Business, Accounting, and Finance.
- Ability to explain complex concepts in a simple, engaging manner.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in using educational technology and multimedia teaching tools.
