Position Summary

The Children's place is seeking full‐stack developers to be part of a growing Digital Engineering team. We are a team of strong developers and architects working on solving and implementing cutting-edge retail solutions that impact on our customers.

Software Developer needs to
understand technology and focus on our user experience. We have a robust API gateway, an eCommerce backend and a decoupled front‐end. We are using React, Redux and Node and the team requires to evaluate and update our stack to meet the needs of business and positive changes in the front‐end landscape. Software Developer need to collaborate with multi-functional teams across geography (management, mobile, API developers, UX designers, test engineers, operations engineers, product and business leaders) to participate in digital product development initiatives for the eComm Team This position needs to create, build and maintain the CI/CD processes and perform release management for SFCC, as well as possess knowledge of new Salesforce Commerce APIs, Java based microservices and Kubernetes

Key Accountabilities:

• At least 1+ apps in production with your contributions via commits or solves in the codebase that utilize React, Redux and Node with ExpressJS in a medium to large scale organization. Hands‐on experience is a must
• A track record of delivering solid web applications.
• Implied experience with versioning, npm, webpack and general devel Understanding of scaling applications
• Knowledge of performance tuning, 60FPS and RUM
• Universal App experience is a plus
• Knowledge of how eCommerce back‐ends work
• Supporting production issues that are critical for launch
• Desire to improve user experience and finesse the application so it leads to betier conversion.
• Knowledge of DTM or Adobe Analytics
• Lead and provide insights to keep production systems running 24/7.
• Ensure timely proactive identification of performance issues, escalating issues as warranted.
• Provide first level of support for Digital eCommerce Stack in the organization.
• Provide technical recommendations to improve performance and guide DevOps team to deliver fixes.
• Resolve any major issues that could possibly affect data security, customer functionality, or system performance.
• Prepare reports and presentations for senior management and key stakeholders regarding key KPIs.

Education and Experience:

• 3+ years of experience developing eCommerce solutions on NodeJS, React.
• Possess working knowledge in the multiple eCommerce business concepts or capabilities: user experience design, content management, personalization, web analytics, SEO, payment processors, taxation services and order management systems.
• Knowledge of modern development and collaboration tools (Code pipelines, wiki's and the rest)
• Hands on experience of DevOps CI/CD using Jenkins and Github/BitBucket.
• Hands on experience with webservices (REST & SOAP, JSON & XML, etc.) and troubleshooting issues in production.
• Experience integrating on-premise and cloud-based SaaS solutions is a must. AWS cloud experience is a plus.
• Exposure to Salesforce Commerce suite is a plus.
• Strong in Agile development Methodologies.
