Job description:

We are looking for a skilled Junior Website Developer with expertise in WordPress and Shopify to create and customize websites that meet our clients' needs and exceed their expectations.

Responsibilities:

WordPress Development:

  • Develop and customize WordPress websites using themes, plugins, and custom code.
  • Implement and customize WooCommerce functionality for e-commerce websites.
  • Utilize page builders such as WPBakery and Elementor to create visually stunning and responsive layouts.
  • Work with 
    Custom Post Types (CPTs), meta boxes, and meta fields
     to build scalable, structured, and dynamic content solutions.
  • Implement 
    dynamic listings and content queries
     to deliver flexible and data-driven front-end experiences.

Shopify Development:

  • Setup and configure Shopify stores, including theme installation and customization.
  • Customize Shopify themes and templates to match clients' branding and design requirements.
  • Integrate Shopify apps and extensions to enhance website functionality and user experience.

E-commerce Solutions:

  • Implement e-commerce solutions and payment gateways for WordPress and Shopify websites.
  • Optimize product listings, shopping carts, and checkout processes to improve conversion rates.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to product management, inventory, and order fulfillment.

Migration and Integration:

  • Migrate websites from other platforms to WordPress or Shopify while ensuring data integrity and functionality.
  • Integrate third-party services, APIs, and plugins to extend website capabilities and automate processes.
  • Transfer Shopify stores to WordPress or vice versa, maintaining design and functionality standards.

Performance Optimization:

  • Optimize website performance, speed, and responsiveness through code optimization and caching techniques.
  • Conduct website audits and implement improvements to enhance SEO, accessibility, and user experience.

Documentation and Training:

  • Document website configurations, customizations, and best practices for future reference and training.
  • Provide training and support to clients on managing and updating their WordPress or Shopify websites.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field
  • 1 year of experience working with Wordpress/Shopify development, including knowledge of popular plugins, frameworks, and themes
  • Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP.
  • Experience with WooCommerce, WPBakery, Elementor, Shopify Liquid, and theme development.
  • Knowledge of 
    CPTs, meta boxes, meta fields, and dynamic content handling
    .
  • Familiarity with database-driven WordPress customizations and scalable architecture.
  • Knowledge of e-commerce best practices, SEO principles, and web standards.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills with the ability to collaborate with designers, clients, and other stakeholders.
