Systems Engineer (Job Description)


• Mastering the deployment and the integration of the company build ZTNA solution.


• Providing level 1,2 remote and on-prem support for the IT & ZTNA solution.


• Administration of the on-prem and enterprise SaaS applications on Linux & Microsoft Windows environment including Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, Jira and Bitbucket etc.
• Demonstrate subject matter expertise with commonly used Azure and AWS services including EC2, VPC, EKS/ECS, S3, RDS, Route53, IAM, AWS Workspace, Azure VDI etc.


• Deployment, configuration and the administration of the Linux, Windows and macOS Operating Systems, DB, Web or the Application servers e.g. Apache, NginX, DNS, DHCP, Samba, Ldap, NFS, Redmine, Gitlab etc., on the Cloud or the Hypervisors.


• Installing agents and applying security patches on endpoints and servers.


• Administration of enterprise networking switches, Access Points and the firewalls e.g. Cisco, Ruckus, pFsense, Mikrtortik, PaloAlto etc.


• Provide support for IT systems including day-to-day operations, troubleshooting, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the client, servers, storage, network and mobile devices.


• Understanding the cutting-edge technologies and supporting the application development teams such as Single Sign-On (SSO), NAC, Identity and Access Management (IAM) and Privileges Access Management (PAM) solutions.


• Execute any other tasks assigned on day-to-day basis.

Qualifications:


• 16 years of Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.


• Preferably have any two of the following certifications: CCNA, MCSA, RHCSA, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator.


• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.


• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.


• Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.

Experience:


• 3-4 years related work experience required as an Systems Engineer.


• Minimum 1 year working experience on the cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, Digital Ocean or the Google Cloud Platform.


• Expertise in Linux and Windows System Administration.


• Programming / Scripting experience in popular languages like python or bash.


• Experience of backup and disaster recovery solutions.


• Experience of installing and troubleshooting VPN solutions i.e. OpenVPN, IPSec etc.


• Experience of using the hypbervisors e.g: Xen, Proxmox, Vmware/ESXI etc.


• Knowledge or the experience of securing the Linux and Windows OS using NIST/CIS guidelines is a value addition.


• Experience of providing remote and on-prem client-side support is essential.
