Debt Collector

Responsibilities:

• Keep track of assigned accounts to identify outstanding debts
• Plan course of action to recover outstanding payments
• Locate and contact debtors to inquire of their payment status
• Establish & maintain relationships with carriers and customers
• Handle questions and complaints
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies
• Create trust relationships with debtors when possible to avoid future issues
• Update account status and database regularly
• Comply with requirements when legal action is unavoidable
• Able to work individually and as a team to meet monthly goals.
• Communicate with customers with past due accounts via telephone or written communication
• Maintain the highest level of compliance with all company policies and procedures
• Follow all state and federal collection laws
• Negotiate and collect payments for delinquent customers
• Provide regular reporting to supervisor
• Willingness to learn new skills
• Accurate and detailed data entry
• Results-driven, motivated and multi-tasker
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
• Excellent work ethic
• Manage and maintain accounts of all customers
• Answer customer questions regarding problems with their accounts
• Arrange for debt repayment or to establish repayment schedules, based on customers' financial situations

Qualifications:

• Experience in working with targets and tight deadlines
• Working knowledge of MS Office
• Excellent communication and people skills

Work Schedule:

• Full-Time Monday to Friday (weekends off)
• Timings: 10am to 7pm
• Compensation: 52K plus commissions
