Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Analyze, document, and optimize business processes and workflows.
  • Collaborate with product managers, developers, and QA teams to ensure requirements are clearly understood and implemented effectively.
  • Conduct detailed analysis of business problems related to accounting, taxation, and financial systems.
  • Create and maintain documentation including BRDs (Business Requirement Documents), FRDs (Functional Requirement Documents), and user stories.
  • Lead discovery sessions and requirement-gathering workshops with cross-functional teams.
  • Support UAT (User Acceptance Testing) and ensure product quality aligns with business expectations.
  • Identify process improvements and propose data-driven solutions to enhance business efficiency.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Computer Science, or Business Administration.
  • Strong accounting or taxation experience, background will be preferred
  • 4–6 years of experience as a Business Analyst in an IT, fintech, or SaaS environment.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and taxation (preferably Australian Taxation System).
  • Experience in requirement gathering, process mapping, and documentation tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Lucidchart, etc.).
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to translate complex business requirements into clear technical specifications.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with SaaS platforms and cloud-based financial systems.
  • Knowledge of business intelligence tools (Power BI, Tableau).
  • Familiarity with CRM or ERP systems (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, GoHighLevel, etc.).
  • Understanding of API integrations and data migration processes
