Job Title: Salesman / Backup

Experience Required: 2+ years in a pharmacy or healthcare retail environment

Qualification: Matric (minimum) or Graduation; Diploma in Pharmacy/Dispensing preferred

  • Honest, responsible, and professional in appearance & behavior
  • Customer-focused with polite communication
  • Team player with managers & colleagues
  • Able to read prescriptions quickly and accurately

Key Responsibilities

Customer Service

  • Greet and assist customers politely
  • Read prescriptions, confirm dosage & quantity
  • Identify medicines correctly or consult supervisor if unsure
  • Pack items, generate bills, and coordinate with cashier
  • Follow policies on prescriptions, returns, cold-chain & short-stock items
  • Ensure customer satisfaction and report issues to Manager

Stock Management

  • Track fast-moving/short items daily
  • Assist in preparing demand/procurement lists
  • Monitor near-expiry stock and update Manager
  • Check warehouse for restocking needs

Other Duties

  • Operate pharmacy software (training provided)
  • Maintain hygiene, uniform & ID at all times
  • Report theft/suspicious activity immediately
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned
