Role Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Construction Estimator
 with expertise in 
painting, remodelling, and general construction
. The ideal candidate will prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for residential, commercial, and government projects, ensuring timely bid submissions and alignment with the client's quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review project plans, drawings, and specifications to prepare 
    accurate quantity takeoffs
     for painting, remodeling, carpentry, and other trades as required.
  • Estimate 
    labor, materials, and equipment costs
     using industry-standard tools and methods.
  • Collaborate with project managers to 
    develop bid proposals
     and ensure pricing aligns with project goals and profitability.
  • Contact suppliers and subcontractors to obtain up-to-date pricing and availability.
  • Prepare detailed 
    scope of work documents
     and ensure clarity in estimates.
  • Maintain organized records of historical data for pricing and job costing.
  • Support multiple bid deadlines and adjust estimates quickly for changes or clarifications.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
     in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (preferred).
  • 3–5 years
     of estimation experience in painting, remodeling, or general construction.
  • Proficiency in 
    estimation software
     (PlanSwift, Bluebeam, or equivalent).
  • Strong knowledge of 
    surface preparation, paint coverage calculations, carpentry takeoffs, and material specifications
    .
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work 
    U.S. Eastern Time Zone
     hours and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong English communication skills for liaising with project managers and vendors.
