We are seeking a highly skilled 
Senior Backend Engineer
 with expertise in 
and
, strong experience in 
payment gateway integrations (Stripe, PayPal, etc.), and PostgreSQL
. You will play a crucial role in building, optimizing, and scaling our 
eCommerce
 platform, ensuring smooth transactions, high performance, and security.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain 
  scalable, high-performance
   backend systems using 
  and
  .
• Integrate and manage 
  payment gateways
   like 
  Stripe, PayPal, and other financial APIs
  .
• Architect and optimize 
  PostgreSQL, SQL
   databases for high availability and performance.
• Work closely with 
  frontend developers, product managers, and DevOps
   to ensure seamless integration.
• Develop and maintain 
  RESTful APIs and GraphQL endpoints
  .
• Experience in logistics, shipment tracking, and integration with APIs like FedEx, DHL, and GoShippo
• Implement security best practices, including 
  data protection, authentication, and authorization
  .
• Optimize backend logic for 
  high-traffic eCommerce platforms
  , ensuring smooth order processing, cart management, and user transactions.
• Implement caching, logging, and monitoring strategies for 
  scalability and reliability
  .
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following 
  best practices
  .
• Work with 
  CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker), and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
  .
• Debug and resolve complex backend issues efficiently.

Required Skills and Experience

• 3**+ years** of experience in backend development with 
  and
  .
• Strong experience working with 
  Stripe, PayPal, or other payment gateways
  .
• Expertise in 
  PostgreSQL
  , and SQL including database design, optimization, and performance tuning.
• Experience in 
  building and maintaining eCommerce platforms
  .
• Deep understanding of 
  API development, authentication, and authorization protocols (OAuth, JWT, etc.)
  .
• Experience with 
  server-side rendering (SSR) and static site generation (SSG)
  .
• Proficiency in 
  microservices architecture and event-driven systems
  .
• Familiarity with 
  DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud deployments
  .
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience with 
  Redis, Elasticsearch, or GraphQL
  .
• Knowledge of 
  queueing systems like RabbitMQ, Kafka, or AWS SQS
  .
• Understanding of 
  headless commerce and API-first architectures
  .
• Exposure to 
  AI/ML-driven recommendation systems in eCommerce
  .

Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
