Role Overview

As an Arabic to English Copywriter Intern at Wolken, you'll be the linguistic bridge that connects brands to global audiences. You'll work at the intersection of language and culture, transforming Arabic content into compelling, natural-sounding English copy that captures the original message's soul while resonating with international readers. Your words will help Middle Eastern brands tell their stories to the world.

Key Responsibilities

  • Translate and transcreate marketing content from Arabic to English while maintaining brand voice, cultural context, and emotional impact
  • Assist in crafting compelling copy for social media, websites, marketing materials, and advertising campaigns
  • Adapt Arabic cultural references, idioms, and humor for English-speaking audiences
  • Collaborate with the creative team to ensure visual and textual elements work harmoniously
  • Help localize content for different English-speaking markets while preserving the core message
  • Proofread and edit translated content to ensure linguistic accuracy and brand consistency

Requirements

  • Native or near-native fluency in both Arabic and English
  • Exceptional writing skills in English with a strong grasp of tone, voice, and style
  • Cultural fluency in both Arab and Western contexts
  • Keen interest in marketing, storytelling, and cross-cultural communication
  • Attention to detail and passion for finding the perfect word or phrase
  • Portfolio or samples of translation/writing work (academic, personal projects, or professional)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to different brand voices
