Title:
Senior WordPress Developer (Theme Customization & Webflow Integration)

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and perform
    theme customization
    : modify or build custom themes, child themes, template files, page layouts, headers/footers, sidebars etc to match designs.
  • Utilize the WordPress Customizer API and/or Full Site Editing (block themes) to expose customizable theme settings to administrators.
  • Work with JavaScript and CSS to implement custom behavior, animations, responsive breakpoints as required.
  • Integrate Webflow‑designed components into WordPress where necessary (e.g. migrating design, replicating layout, ensuring brand consistency).
  • Optimize theme performance, ensure lightweight, clean markup, minimize CSS/JS load, ensure mobile responsiveness.
  • Maintain compatibility with WordPress core updates; ensure theme customization does not break upgrades.
  • Ensure accessibility, security best practices in theme files.
  • Mentor junior devs in theme customization best practices; perform code reviews.

Skills & Requirements:

  • 5+ years experience customizing WordPress themes, including child themes, template hierarchy, working with both classic themes and block themes.
  • Strong experience in JavaScript (vanilla & libraries), CSS/SASS, HTML.
  • Solid PHP skills, understanding WordPress hooks, filters.
  • Experience with Webflow: interpreting Webflow designs / exporting assets / integrating into WordPress.
  • Experience with WordPress customizer, Full Site Editing, theme settings.
  • Good understanding of responsive design, browser compatibility, performance optimization.
  • Attention to detail, maintainable code, version control (Git), staging vs production workflow.
