Assistant Accounts Manager

We are looking for a highly experienced Assistant Accounts Manager with a strong understanding of both Pakistan and UK taxation. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience. This role is critical in ensuring accurate financial reporting, tax compliance, and strategic financial management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage the full accounting cycle, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
  • Ensure compliance with Pakistan and UK tax laws, including the preparation and submission of tax returns.
  • Provide expert advice on tax planning and strategies to optimize the company's tax position.
  • Review and manage VAT, income tax, and other statutory filings for both Pakistan and UK operations.
  • Prepare and analyze financial reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant accounting standards.
  • Coordinate with external auditors and tax authorities, providing all necessary documentation and explanations.
  • Lead the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities, providing insights based on tax implications and financial data.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes in tax laws and accounting standards in both jurisdictions.
  • Support the finance team in improving processes and implementing best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5-6 years of experience in accounting, with a strong focus on Pakistan and UK taxation.
  • In-depth knowledge of Pakistan and UK tax laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Proficient in accounting software and MS Excel.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with international tax planning and cross-border transactions.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Job Location: Faisal Town, Lahore

Job Type: Full time (onsite)

Work Hours: 01:00 pm to 10:00 pm (Monday to Saturday)
