The Role:

We are seeking a meticulous and dedicated Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer with 1-2 years of hands-on experience to join our team. In this role, you will be crucial in safeguarding the quality of web and mobile applications developed for our US-based clients. You will be involved in the entire software development lifecycle to identify issues, ensure functionality, and deliver a flawless user experience.

This is an on-site position at our office in Islamabad.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, execute, and maintain detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.
  • Perform thorough manual testing of new features and regression testing of existing functionality on web and mobile platforms.
  • Identify, record, document thoroughly, and track bugs using issue-tracking systems (e.g., Jira, Trello).
  • Work closely with the development team to understand requirements and ensure timely resolution of defects.
  • Conduct post-release/post-deployment validation testing.
  • Actively participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospective meetings.
  • Continuously learn and contribute to improving our QA processes and methodologies.

Requirements (Must Have):

  • 1-2 years of proven experience in a Software QA Engineer role.
  • Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
  • Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
  • Hands-on experience with both white-box and black-box testing.
  • Solid experience in manual testing for web and/or mobile applications.
  • Experience with bug-tracking and project management tools.
  • Sharp attention to detail and a strong passion for quality.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

Nice to Have (Not Required):

  • Basic knowledge of SQL and scripting.
  • Familiarity with any automated testing tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Appium).
  • Understanding of Agile/Scrum development principles.
