Job Summary:

The Maths Teacher is responsible for planning, delivering, and assessing engaging mathematics lessons that foster analytical thinking, problem-solving, and a strong conceptual understanding among students. The teacher ensures that all students develop confidence and proficiency in mathematical reasoning aligned with the school's curriculum standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver well-structured and engaging math lessons for assigned grade levels.
  • Develop lesson plans that align with the school curriculum and learning objectives.
  • Utilize a variety of teaching methods and instructional materials to cater to diverse learning styles.
  • Assess and monitor students' progress through tests, assignments, and projects.
  • Provide constructive feedback to students to support academic growth and improvement.
  • Maintain accurate and updated student performance records.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages participation and critical thinking.
  • Incorporate technology and hands-on activities to make learning interactive and effective.
  • Collaborate with fellow teachers, coordinators, and administration for curriculum planning and school events.
  • Attend staff meetings, professional development sessions, and parent-teacher conferences.
  • Ensure classroom discipline and uphold school values and policies.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field.
  • B.Ed. or equivalent teaching certification preferred.
  • Minimum 2–3 years of teaching experience (preferably in middle or secondary grades).
  • Strong command of mathematical concepts and instructional strategies.
  • Excellent communication, classroom management, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in using educational technology tools and digital resources.
