About the Role

We're looking for a detail-obsessed Junior Compliance Officer to help us keep policies, procedures, and evidence tidy, traceable, and audit-ready. This role is ideal for a recent graduate or early-career professional with strong documentation skills and an interest in information security and governance. You'll work cross-functionally to maintain our compliance records and support initiatives toward industry standards.

What You'll Do

  • Documentation & Evidence Management
  • Draft, format, version-control, and maintain policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines.
  • Collect, catalog, and validate audit evidence; ensure traceability to controls and requirements.
  • Maintain compliance registers, control matrices, risk logs, and exception trackers.
  • Control Support
  • Assist in routine control performance checks (e.g., access reviews, change logs, training completion).
  • Track remediation tasks and follow up on deadlines and owners.
  • Audit & Certification Readiness
  • Prepare evidence packages and walkthrough materials for internal/external audits.
  • Coordinate meeting notes, action items, and close-out documentation.
  • Awareness & Training
  • Help deliver and track compliance awareness campaigns and mandatory training.
  • Create simple, clear how-tos and checklists for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Process Improvement
  • Suggest ways to simplify templates, workflows, and documentation standards.
  • Support tool configuration (e.g., compliance management or ticketing systems) and reporting.

Nice to Have (Bonus Points)

  • Familiarity with SOC 2 Trust Services Criteria and common evidence types.
  • Exposure to ISO/IEC Annex A controls, Statement of Applicability, risk treatment).
  • Understanding of supporting frameworks/areas (ISO 27002, ISO 31000, vendor risk, data protection).

What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Business, Accounting, or similar—or equivalent practical experience.
  • Exceptional documentation skills: structure, clarity, versioning, and attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational and follow-through abilities; comfortable managing multiple deadlines.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills with cross-functional teams.
  • Basic understanding of IT concepts (identity/access, change management, asset management).
  • Comfort with productivity tools (Google Workspace or Microsoft 365), spreadsheets, and ticketing tools (e.g., Jira).
  • Curiosity and willingness to learn compliance frameworks and audit practices.
