Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for an AML Compliance Officer, located in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The AML Compliance Officer will be responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance, conducting due diligence, analyzing financial transactions, and managing sanctions. The role involves daily monitoring, reporting, and communication to prevent money laundering and maintain adherence to regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor, review, and analyze customer transactions to identify potential money laundering or suspicious activity.
  • Conduct initial investigations and escalate cases to senior compliance officers or MLROs as required.
  • Prepare and submit Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) in accordance with local regulatory timelines.
  • Maintain and update customer risk assessments and KYC/EDD profiles in line with company policy.
  • Assist with regulatory audits, inspections, and internal compliance reviews by ensuring accurate documentation and timely reporting.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure consistent implementation of AML/CFT policies and procedures across all business units.
  • Keep abreast of evolving UAE and international AML/CFT regulations, including FATF recommendations, UAE AML-CFT laws, and global best practices.
  • Support in delivering AML awareness training sessions and fostering a compliance-driven culture within the organization.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Law, or a related field.
  • 1–3 years of relevant AML compliance experience within the UAE (financial or accounting background preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of KYC, EDD, risk assessment frameworks, and regulatory reporting procedures.
  • Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
  • Certifications such as CAMS, ICA, or equivalent will be an added advantage.
