Infra Administrator

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Infrastructure Administrator to join our team in Islamabad. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, configuration, and administration of IT infrastructure including Linux servers, virtualization platforms, and network/security devices. The role requires strong technical expertise, problem-solving ability, and the capacity to document and communicate infrastructure solutions effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and manage
  Linux-based servers
  to ensure optimal performance and security.
• Deploy, configure, and maintain
  VMware vSphere/ESXi environments
  for virtualization and resource optimization.
• Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot
  networking equipment
  including switches, routers, and firewalls.
• Ensure infrastructure security and compliance with organizational policies.
• Monitor system performance, availability, and capacity planning.
• Perform routine backups, patch management, and disaster recovery operations.
• Prepare and maintain
  technical documentation, system/network diagrams, and reports
  .
• Provide technical support and guidance to cross-functional teams as needed.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Proven experience as a
  System Administrator / Infrastructure Administrator
  or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of
  Linux administration
  (Red Hat, CentOS, Ubuntu, or equivalent).
• Hands-on experience with
  VMware vSphere/ESXi
  deployment and management.
• Solid understanding of
  networking protocols, routing, switching, and firewall configuration
  .
• Familiarity with monitoring tools, backup solutions, and disaster recovery practices.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to create clear and concise technical documentation.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., RHCSA/RHCE, VCP, CCNA, or equivalent) will be an added advantage.
