Junior / Mid‑Level QA Engineer (2–3 years) — ERP Experience

Role Summary

We are looking for a hands‑on QA Engineer with 2–3 years of professional testing experience and prior exposure to ERP applications. You will join a product-focused engineering team and own functional, integration, and regression testing for ERP modules, helping ensure reliable releases and clear traceability from requirements to defects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute functional, integration, regression, and smoke tests for ERP modules (inventory, manufacturing, finance, procurement, etc.).
  • Translate user stories and acceptance criteria into test cases and maintain test case repository.
  • Design, document, and run manual test scenarios; report and track defects through to closure.
  • Validate end‑to‑end flows across ERP modules and integrations (APIs, ledgers, third‑party services).
  • Collaborate with developers, product managers, and business analysts to reproduce issues and define acceptance criteria.
  • Perform basic test data setup, environment validation, and sanity checks on staging environments.
  • Maintain clear test evidence, test execution reports, and contribute to release readiness checks.
  • Participate in daily standups, sprint ceremonies, and post‑release retrospectives; provide quality input to the team.
  • Support basic automation efforts (writing or running automated test scripts) where required.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 2–3 years of hands‑on QA experience, preferably testing business applications or ERP systems.
  • Strong functional testing skills and experience writing detailed test cases and defect reports.
  • Basic understanding of ERP concepts (inventory, BOM, manufacturing orders, GL posting, procurement workflows).
  • Experience testing REST APIs and integrations; ability to validate backend transactions and logs.
  • Familiarity with Jira (or similar) for issue tracking and test case management tools (TestRail, Zephyr, or equivalent).
  • Good SQL skills for querying test data and validating results in databases.
  • Solid communication skills, ability to work with cross‑functional teams and explain issues clearly.
  • Attention to detail, analytical mindset, and a quality-first attitude.

Nice‑to‑Have

  • Exposure to automation tools (Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Robot Framework) or basic scripting (Python, JS).
  • Experience with performance or load testing basics.
  • Knowledge of financial posting and costing processes in ERP.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams.

Education & Other Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or equivalent experience.
  • Available to work overlap hours with the core engineering team.
