Stellar Minore is a company that serves as a product team for hire. We work with organizations as their technology partner to make their minor stars glow brighter.

We are looking for an experienced Backend API developer to join our engineering team at Stellar Minore. You will be responsible for the implementation and iteration of our NodeJS based APIs.

Excellent programming skills and a passion for developing scalable infrastructure is key to success in this role. You must appreciate clean code and be willing to both work and learn, at a rapid pace.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the entire application lifecycle, focusing on coding and debugging
  • Write clean code to develop functional scalable NodeJS powered APIs
  • Troubleshoot and debug applications
  • Collaborate with Frontend developers to integrate user-facing elements with server side logic
  • Gather and address technical and design requirements
  • Build reusable code and libraries for future use
  • Liaise with developers, designers and system administrators to identify new features
  • Follow emerging technologies

Skills

  • Proven work experience as a Backend developer using technologies like NodeJS, ExpressJS, and SequelizeJS
  • Extensive experience with version control using git
  • Familiarity with RESTful development
  • Knowledge of various database technologies like mysql and MariaDB
  • In-depth understanding of the entire web development process (design, development and deployment)
  • Hands on experience with programming languages like Javascript libraries like Node
  • Working knowledge/Basic familiarity with front-end languages (e.g. HTML, JavaScript and CSS)
  • Excellent analytical and time management skills
  • Teamwork skills with a problem-solving attitude
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or relevant field
