Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement secure, scalable RESTful APIs.
  • Architect and manage relational databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL) for high-volume data.
  • Build integration layers for third-party platforms and external APIs.
  • Develop webhook endpoints and event-driven services.
  • Ensure data security, authentication, and access control best practices.
  • Collaborate with front-end and ML engineers to ensure smooth data flow across services.
  • Containerize services with Docker and support cloud deployment pipelines.
  • Maintain code quality via testing, version control, and technical documentation.

Tech Stack

  • Languages/Frameworks:
      (Express), Python (Django/FastAPI).
  • Database:
     PostgreSQL/MySQL (schema design, optimization, indexing).
  • APIs/Integrations:
     REST APIs, webhooks, third-party service integrations.
  • Infra:
     Docker, AWS/Azure/Hetzner (containerized deployments).
  • Tools:
     Git/GitHub, Swagger/OpenAPI, JSON logging, CI/CD.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Backend Developer (2+ years preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of or Python with practical experience in frameworks.
  • Hands-on database management experience with relational DBs.
  • Strong understanding of backend security principles.
  • Experience with Docker and cloud deployments.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Bonus: Background in handling large-scale data systems.
