Chinese Chef

Foods Inn is a dynamic and forward-thinking organization committed to excellence in restaurant industry. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Chinese Chef to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and execute authentic Chinese dishes.
• Ensure the highest quality of ingredients and adherence to traditional Chinese cooking techniques.
• Check and verify daily inventory of Chinese spices, sauces, and ingredients.
• Monitor stock levels of specialized Chinese ingredients and coordinate with the Kitchen Supervisor for timely replenishment.
• Maintain consistency in taste, presentation, and portion sizes across all Chinese menu items.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation regulations specific to Chinese cuisine preparation.
• Oversee the cleanliness and maintenance of the Chinese cooking stations and equipment during shifts.
• Train and guide kitchen staff on Chinese cooking methods and recipes.
• Ensure timely preparation and dispatching of all Chinese orders during shifts.
• Conduct tasting sessions to maintain quality standards for Chinese dishes.
• Report any equipment malfunctions or ingredient quality issues to the Kitchen Supervisor.
• Maintain a disciplined, collaborative, and positive work environment in the kitchen.

Requirements:

• Diploma or certification in Culinary Arts with a specialization in Chinese cuisine (Bachelor's degree in Culinary Arts preferred).
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a chef, with at least 2 years specializing in Chinese cuisine in a reputed restaurant.
• In-depth knowledge of Chinese culinary techniques, ingredients, and flavor profiles.
• Strong understanding of food safety standards and hygiene practices specific to Chinese cooking.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Flexibility to work different shifts, including weekends and holidays.
