Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Java Developer with experience in payment cards domain, digital cards and tokenization. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in Java development, and understanding of digital cards and tokenization concepts. As a Senior Java Developer, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions that meet the needs of our clients and business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain high-performance Java applications.
  • Collaborate with product managers, architects, and other developers to create innovative solutions.
  • Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
  • Perform code reviews and mentor junior developers.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve software defects.
  • Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
  • Ensure that the developed applications are scalable, reliable, and secure.
  • Keep up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in Java development.
  • Strong knowledge of Java SE, Java EE, and related frameworks (e.g., Spring, Hibernate).
  • Experience with RESTful APIs, micro services architecture, and web services.
  • Proficiency in database technologies (Oracle) and ORM tools.
  • Familiarity with front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus.
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Strong understanding of software development principles and design patterns.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Domain knowledge of financial technologies
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
  • Experience in Agile/Scrum development environments.
  • Certification in Java or related technologies is a plus.

Must-Haves:

  • Proven expertise in the payments and cards domain
  • Strong knowledge of card digitization and tokenization
  • Experience in integration with Tokenization Service Providers (TSPs) such as Thales or IDEMIA (preferred)
