Role Description

We require the services of an experienced
Mechanical Engineer
for our
MEP Department in Lahore
. The Engineer will be responsible for
mechanical system design, HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection system design
, as well as overall
MEP coordination
to ensure seamless project execution. The role demands
a minimum of 2 to 5 years of experience
in mechanical design and implementation, along with expertise in integrating mechanical systems within building projects. The candidate must possess a strong technical foundation, be well-versed in
international standards
, and have the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • MEP Coordination:
    Oversee and integrate mechanical systems with electrical and plumbing services for seamless project execution.
  • Mechanical Design & Implementation:
    Develop
    detailed designs
    for HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems using
    AutoCAD, Revit, and other industry tools
    while ensuring compliance with international standards.
  • HVAC System Design:
    Design and implement efficient heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems, ensuring optimal building performance.
  • Plumbing & Fire Protection:
    Plan and design plumbing and fire suppression systems in compliance with
    NFPA, IPC, UPC, and local regulations
    .
  • Standards & Compliance:
    Ensure all designs adhere to relevant MEP standards such as:
  • ASHRAE
    (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning)
  • NFPA
    (Fire Protection and Safety)
  • IPC & UPC
    (Plumbing Codes)
  • BS/ISO Standards
    (Mechanical and Building Services)
  • Project Management:
    Lead mechanical engineering aspects of MEP projects, ensuring timely and cost-effective execution.
  • Technical Problem-Solving:
    Analyze and resolve mechanical engineering challenges, proposing
    efficient and innovative solutions
    .
  • Collaboration & Communication:
    Work closely with
    architects, electrical engineers, and contractors
    to ensure smooth project delivery.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 - 5 years of experience
    in mechanical system design, MEP coordination, and project execution.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Expertise in HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection system design.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant MEP design software.
  • Strong understanding of local and international mechanical and MEP standards.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to lead and coordinate mechanical system designs in multidisciplinary projects.
