Role Overview

As a Video Editor at Wolken, you'll be the engine of our visual storytelling, crafting scroll-stopping, trend-driven video content that dominates social feeds. Your core mission is to take raw ideas and footage and transform them into thumb-stopping videos that drive engagement, views, and shares. You live and breathe the fast-paced world of social media video, from slick transitions to perfect sound design.

A strong proficiency in motion graphics or animation is a huge plus, as we're always looking to add that extra layer of polish and creativity to our content.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the editing of high-impact, short-form video content for platforms like TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts.
  • Create and adapt video content that is native to each platform, leveraging current trends, sounds, and formats to maximize reach and engagement.
  • Seamlessly integrate motion graphics, dynamic text animations, and visual effects to elevate the storytelling.
  • Manage the post-production workflow, including organizing raw footage, assets, and project files.
  • Collaborate with the creative team to brainstorm and storyboard concepts that are both innovative and highly executable.
  • Continuously research and experiment with new editing techniques, trends, and platform features to keep our content on the cutting edge.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Video Editor, with a portfolio packed with social media video examples.
  • High proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe After Effects is essential. Familiarity with CapCut for quick-turn projects is a plus.
  • A demonstrable knack for pacing, rhythm, and storytelling that is built for the short-form attention span.
  • An eye for trendy content—you know what makes a video go viral and how to adapt that magic for brand storytelling.
  • (A significant plus) Strong skills in motion graphics or 2D animation.
  • A creative problem-solver with a keen attention to detail and a drive to create best-in-class work.
